#GivingTuesday supports FOA Mission

Thanksgiving was a delicious blur. Whether battling in the trenches or simply observing the retail onslaught from afar, you survived Black Friday. And, as myriad confirmation messages from online retailers in your email inbox attest, you managed to make it through Cyber Monday as well.

But today, #GivingTuesday, is a chance to reflect and to give the gift of a better community and a healthier and more robust Acadia National Park.

Support Friends of Acadia (FOA) via a special online donation page at #GivingTuesday.

Founded in 2012, #GivingTuesday is about making real change in our communities and around the world. It’s about turning one day into something more through the collective power of people. On this day, we unite to encourage, celebrate, and amplify giving so that we can care for and empower each other and others in need.

“At a time of year when we traditionally refocus our attention on being thankful for all that is special about our communities, #GivingTuesday provides an easy way for people to show their appreciation and express their philanthropy,” said Lisa Horsch Clark, Friends of Acadia’s Director of Development.

Be a part of helping preserve the natural and cultural resources of Acadia National Park. Join with tens of thousands of other people across the country and around the world in showing your support for worthy charities on #GivingTuesday.

Donations made to FOA on #GivingTuesday will support the active volunteer program, a series of youth activities and events, and protection efforts to preserve Acadia’s natural resources. FOA funds 179 full and part-time positions in Acadia National Park and the surrounding communities. In all, more than $1.7 million in grant and program support was provided last year by FOA.
