Friday, February 14: Whooooo Do You Love?
Full Moon Owl Walk in Acadia National Park
4:30 – 6:00 pm
Owls are courting and nesting in February! A park ranger will share the habits of owls, then we will look and listen for these mysterious nocturnal predators. Depending on snow conditions, plan to bring snowshoes or very warm boots. Be prepared for the weather and pack a flashlight. Minimum age is 5. Limited to 30 people. This is a free program but reservations are required. Call 207-288-8812 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a quiet moonlit evening in Acadia!
The Great Maine Outdoor Weekend is a series of events lead by outdoor-oriented organizations and companies to celebrate the how, where, and what of being active outside in Maine. Our goal is to connect our friends and neighbors with the natural world, to promote fun, physical activity, and good health. Friends of Acadia has been pleased to partner with Acadia National Park to celebrate the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend since the event’s inception in 2012.
