National Trails Day 2021

National Trails Day is June 5, 2021. In a typical year, we would invite members and friends to attend a guided walk with Acadia National Park trail crew members for an in-person look at the effort, skill, and organizational collaboration that goes into maintaining the trails of Acadia. Earth Day Roadside Clean-up Postponed until 2022

BAR HARBOR, MAINE – In the interest of community health and safety amidst a stubborn spring rise in COVID-19 cases here in Maine, Friends of Acadia will not hold a formal Earth Day Roadside Clean-up in 2021. The event typically brings together hundreds of volunteers working together to pick up litter that has accumulated over the winter on MDI’s and Trenton’s roadsides. (read more) Read more >

Raffle for Wall Hanging to Benefit FOA

The wall hanging will be raffled off on December 6. Raffle tickets are $10 per entry, and all proceeds will directly benefit Friends of Acadia’s work in Acadia National Park. Read more >

Giving Tuesday Challenge 2020

Last week, a generous donor offered to match $25,000 if we could raise an equal amount by #GivingTuesday—and thanks to you, we did it! More than 270 people with a shared love for Acadia National Park came together to helped us exceed our goal. Thanks to your contributions combined with the donor match, we raised more than $60,000.
