As Acadia marks its centennial, the park faces challenges that even park founders and visionaries like George B. Dorr, Charles William Eliot, and John D. Rockefeller Jr. could not have foreseen.
Friends of Acadia has launched the Second Century Campaign to bring innovation, resources, and leadership to five vital and intertwined goals:
- Wild Acadia
- The Acadia Experience
- Carriage Roads and Trails
- Tomorrow ’s Stewards
- Friends of Acadia Endowment
The campaign will raise $25 million to ensure that Acadia will be a thriving national park, the cornerstone of our community’s quality of place, and a source of inspiration for generations to come.
