Friends of Acadia employs a full-time staff of 19 people in our Bar Harbor office. We also support seasonal positions in our office and in Acadia National Park, both through direct employment and through grants to the park.

These include the Summit Stewards (formerly Ridge Runners) , and Recreational Technicians, Stewardship Crew for the Stewardship Volunteer Program, the Wild Gardens of Acadia Internship and full-time and seasonal positions in the Friends of Acadia office. Vice President of Finance & Administration

Friends of Acadia Office, Bar Harbor, ME
Job Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week

This leadership position works closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors through policy and committee work and collaborates with staff across all departments. This position oversees financial management, information technology, risk management, office and facilities management, and construction project management.

 

Development Manager

Reports to: Development Operations Manager
Schedule: Full-time, year-round with the need for occasional weekend and evening work

Friends of Acadia seeks an experienced, organized, and creative development professional to manage the annual fundraising programs, including membership, annual fund, and business support campaigns.

This position develops and manages a matrix of development and communication strategies in collaboration with the Communications and Marketing Team focused on building a sustainable tradition of annual support.

 

Corporate and Foundations Relations Coordinator

LOCATION: Hybrid. Some in-office (Bar Harbor, Maine) and some remote work. Evening, weekend, some overnight work, as well as travel, may be required.
JOB STATUS: Temporary part-time position (20-hour per week) through December 2024. The position needs will be evaluated for an extension for 2025.

The Corporate and Foundations Relations Coordinator works closely with the Vice President of Development, staff, board, and volunteers to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate and foundation grant funders. This is an exciting new opportunity for a part-time, detail-oriented, self-motivated grant writer and believes in the mission of Friends of Acadia (FOA).
