Friends of Acadia Celebrates Acadia National Park’s Centennial and Announces Second Century Campaign

On July 8, 1916, Acadia National Park was first set aside as a protected reserve for enjoyment and inspiration of the American people. On the 100th anniversary of that event—Friday, July 8, 2016—more than 300 members, volunteers, and supporters of Friends of Acadia gathered to mark the Acadia Centennial and look ahead to the next century of park conservation.
