A Day in the Life of a Summit Steward–
on News Center Maine’s 207

This fall, News Center Maine Reporter and Anchor Rob Caldwell spent an afternoon behind-the-scenes at work with the Friends of Acadia Summit Stewards. In his story on News Center Maine’s 207, Rob referred to being a Summit Steward as a “dream job,” but he also helped viewers understand the importance of the role in improving the visitor experience and protecting the park.

Our own Steph Ley, Summit Steward Coordinator, and Summit Stewards Chiara Jeanfils and Nathaniel Burke were interviewed for the story.

If you’ve ever been curious about a typical day in the life of a Summit Steward, be sure to watch the segment. Remember to Leave No Trace when enjoying Acadia National Park–we need everyone’s cooperation to keep the park in good condition for generations to come.
