SOUTHWEST HARBOR, MAINE — More than 55 Acadia-area residents of all ages, together with members of the Friends of Acadia staff , gathered at Sips Restaurant in Southwest Harbor Sunday afternoon to meet the new superintendent of Acadia National Park, Kevin Schneider, and his family. Hosted by Sips owner Scott Worcester, along with Renée, Diana, and Maggie of the Sips staff, the event featured relaxed conversation, an Acadia Centennial cake, and thoughtful comments from Superintendent Schneider on the value of great staff, great partners, and great communities to a national park—all of which Acadia enjoys in profusion.
