Stewardship Volunteer Crew Leader Julia Schloss was honored recently by Acadia National Park Superintendent Kevin Schneider and Friends of Acadia President and CEO David MacDonald thanking her for more than 25 years as a volunteer in the park.

Julia has spent thousands of hours sharing her love of Acadia National Park, and she’s been working on the trails since before Friends of Acadia had a formal program. Julia announced her intent to step back from her leadership responsibilities last summer. “I plan to still volunteer and help out when I can. The friendships I’ve made are just wonderful,” Julia says.
