FOA Annual Meeting Set

BAR HARBOR — Friends of Acadia will hold its 2018 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, July 11, from 4-6 p.m. in the Stotesbury Ball Room of the Bar Harbor Club on West Street.

Remarks will be given by Board Chair Anne Green, President and CEO David MacDonald, Conservation Director Stephanie Clement, and Acadia National Park Superintendent Kevin Schneider.

The event will include presentation of annual awards to top volunteers and people who have made outstanding contributions to protecting and preserving the park. This year’s awards include the Excellence in Volunteerism Award, Acadia Preservation Award, and the Marianne Edwards Distinguished Service Award.

The names of recipients will be announced at the meeting.

Copies of the 2017 Annual Report will be available at the meeting.

Following the business meeting, attendees will enjoy refreshments and conversation on the terrace overlooking Frenchman Bay.
