In honor of Acadia Founding Week, all donations were matched 1:1 until we reached our goal of $20K. Thanks for showing your love for Acadia and doubling your impact during the Acadia Challenge!
Thanks to the generous commitment of Friends of Acadia Board member Julie Banzhaf-Stone and her husband Steve Stone, all donations to Friends of Acadia between July 5 and July 11 will be matched 1:1 until we reach our goal of $20,000. UPDATE: Goal reached! Thank you for your donations!
That means your donation will have twice the impact for Acadia National Park.
As we celebrate the park’s 106th birthday, Friends of Acadia is also celebrating our dedicated members and enthusiastic volunteers who help the park continue to be the amazing place it is. This summer, volunteers are back in Acadia after a two-year hiatus. They’re pulling vegetation and tamping gravel to maintain the park’s trails and carriage roads with the Stewardship Drop-In Volunteer program. And they’re staffing the Membership Table at Jordan Pond House and welcoming new Friends of Acadia members into the fold.
Donate now to the Acadia Challenge to celebrate and support the park we love.
No donation is too small. All contributions will be matched until we meet our goal!
The Acadia Challenge is part of Acadia Week, a series of live-streamed events that celebrate the founding of our beloved park.
This year’s Acadia Week is July 4-8 and includes a live-streamed hike with Friends of Acadia’s Summit Stewards and Digital Media Team and a walk and talk in the Great Meadow Wetland with Brian Henkel, Friends of Acadia’s Wild Acadia Coordinator. There’s also a live chat with Friends of Acadia’s new President and CEO Eric Stiles and Park Superintendent Kevin Schneider.
We hope you’ll join us! See the complete Acadia Week 2022 schedule.
