A former Volunteer Crew Leader with Friends of Acadia is continuing to build trails and create splendid outdoor spaces for the community.

Bob Hartley, a resident at Birch Bay Retirement Village, was recently featured on WABI.tv for a trail he built on the property there. The trail was an idea he had when he first moved there, and he rallied some friends to help him make it a reality. The trail gives residence the opportunity to walk through the woods and enjoy nature – without ever leaving Birch Bay’s grounds.

We’re thrilled to see him continuing to create trails that enable others to get into nature.
